— Do I need to read the books in order?

The Undetectables can be read as a stand-alone, but The Undead Complex and The Unfathomable Curse are direct sequels and will reference events of book 1 – I strongly recommend reading them in order to get the best experience!

— Is The Undetectables Series YA or adult?

The series is pitched and marketed at adults (no matter what Amazon sometimes says in the ‘age range’ section regardless of how many times it’s corrected). The characters start out at 20 and the series will end with them at 22. If it was a defined category, the series would sit in the ‘New Adult’ section that is also sometimes referred to as crossover YA. If you are an adult who enjoys YA you’ll probably really enjoy the series, and if you’re an adult who enjoys humorous urban fantasy and mysteries you’ll probably really enjoy the series, and if you’re a young adult who is okay with themes of death, lots of swearing, some body horror and all the things you’d typically find in a murder-centric book, then – you guessed it – you’ll probably really enjoy the series. (I would say in general it’s 16+. but I am not your dad)
